Video Project - "Next Thing I Know"
Reflection -
1. What is old, and what is new in any work of art?
Technique and style. People can always use old techniques and styles to create their art but can also use their own original ones. How artists utilize technique and style shapes their artwork and is always changing, from old to new and vice versa.
2. How is art used in everyday life?
Art is used to share and communicate views and ideas, to show off creations to others, and to influence people based on what they interpret as art. Art is everywhere and even if there isn't a specific point to it, it always has a place in out society.
3. How does Material Culture influence artistic decisions?
A lot of artists actually do their artwork solely on Material Culture and it's pretty obvious that the environment that people are in affects them. A lot of time Material Culture influences artists to make the art that they do.
4. What problem-solving skills are employed in making works of art?
How exactly people create and portray their art is the most important aspect so people need to troubleshoot how to do that. Artists have to problem solve how exactly they are going to convey their ideas and make their art.
5. How are the characteristics and expressive features of art and design used to create art?
Art is all about expression and the tools to making art is all of the features of art/design. These features are already set out and are in a toolbox for artists when they are creating new things.

Project Description -
For the movie project we split up into groups and thought of a topic for our video. There was a rubric that had different sections like lighting, angles, and other filming techniques. We first sketched out our initial thoughts on a storyboard. The next couple days we focused on the lighting portion of the rubric by shooting silhouette scenes and shooting outside when we saw it was stormy (which was something we needed for the rubric). Then we focused on different camera angles throughout the scenes we shot. We used our gained knowledge of stop-motion animation to make credits too. Overall we used what we learned in Digital Arts and followed the rubric to try and make our video a success.
