Avalanche Safety
Reflection
Snow science is relevant in my life because I live in Colorado which has an abundance of snow. I learned about how snow melt in the mountains is the main source of water for most of the West. This prevents droughts and it keeps our rivers high so we can raft, kayak, tube, etc and also we can have enough water to drink, and grow food so we can sustain ourselves. I learned and developed the skill of identifying avalanche terrain based on several variables and warning signs.
